Tau Stealth Team

I love my stealth team. In my opinion they are one of the most underrated squads in the Tau Army. Here's my team. I decided to stick to the basic colour scheme of Chaos Black and Scab Red, with some Shining Gold details.

I thoroughly enjoyed painting these units. They make a worthy addition to my slowly growing Tau Army.

The squad consist of a Stealth Leader, two normal units and of course a Stealth Drone. Aren't they just awesome?

Tau Devilfish

Yip, this was the first unit that I completed. Obviously being my first model, it took me some time to get it to a state where I was happy. Not to mention the 6 layers of paint it has on, mainly due to me trying to paint the camo paterns, as displayed in the codex.

And I must say, I did not come right with the camo paterns, even after trying some variations that the codex suggested. So, being confronted with my still highly underdeveloped painting skills, I decided to make some minor variations to the theme. I painted the whole unit with Vomit Brown, and then used Shining Gold to accentuate certain features. When I added Tau insignia the overall effect was quite satisfying.

Needless to say, though, I still have some way to go before I'll be counted as talented! LOL

My first Warhammer 40K army!

I'm sitting here typing this blog post, with blotches of paint all over my hands, from painting my Tau Army models. It painstakingly slow work, but immensely rewarding when at the end of the day, I have a new character to show.

So why did I create this blog? Well, firstly I would like to showcase my army to the world. I'm most definately not the best painter out there, but I can guarantee you that all my models were done by myself. It will also allow me to start interacting with fellow Warhammer enthusiast, even if they are not Tau.

Secondly, I would like to get some feedback from other Warhammer players out there. Whether it is tips on painting, or even strategy.

And Thirdly, it's motivation. For me. It takes a lot of hard work to create an army. If I know that I have readers expecting regular updates on my progress, it will motivate me more to get stuck into the time-consuming task. I thus expect regular comments. You have been warned.

I'm currently busy with my Kroot pack. I have already finished my Stealth Team and my Devilfish. I'll be posting some pictures in the coming days, to let you know what it looks like.

So until then.......TAU ROCKS!
